Steven Larín, Esq.
Deputy Director
Steven Larín joined NSC in 2006 as a staff attorney, transitioned to Director of Legal Services & Immigration Policy, and now serves as Deputy Director. He specializes in removal defense, asylum, and immigrant youth issues and helps lead NSC’s legal services program, interpretation & translation services, and the Survivor Services program which provides legal and case management services to survivors of torture, human trafficking, domestic violence, and other crimes. Steven leads NSC's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts and advocacy on immigration policy. He has served as an Adjunct Professor for the Immigration Law Clinic at Temple University – Beasley School of Law and for the Political Science Department at La Salle University. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association –Philadelphia Chapter. He served as Chair of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for AILA-Philadelphia. Steven also currently serves as a commissioner for the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations and as a board member of the Scattergood Foundation.
Prior to joining NSC, Steven worked representing clients in immigration, family, and criminal law matters in California. Steven’s focus remains on protecting and promoting the rights of all immigrants. A graduate of Swarthmore College and Loyola Law School – Los Angeles, he is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and California and is a native Spanish speaker.
