Rebecca Asch is a Board Certified and Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Prior to receiving her Master’s in Art Therapy from Drexel University, she spent time in Israel working with adolescent asylum seekers. She also provided support to African migrant workers and underserved communities of Jewish, Arab Christian, and Muslim children in Jaffa.

These experiences motivated her to join a collaboration between The Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience, Nationalities Service Center, and BuildaBridge where she co-facilitated a two-year art therapy group for clients of the Survivors of Torture Program. In that capacity she developed trauma informed, art therapy curriculum conducive to group work for a heterogenous population.

Most recently, she served as the Assistant Director in a behavioral health hospital where she led a team of 30 therapists and educators. In addition to developing programming and supporting the implementation of evidenced based practices, she provided therapy to adults and children with depression, psychotic disorders, eating/body image concerns, bipolar

disorder, trauma, and drug and alcohol use. She currently maintains a private practice, serving adults clients in the Greater Philadelphia region. In this practice she treats mood disorders, body image and eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma.
