Katherine Tan

Senior Manager of Economic Self-Sufficiency

Katie Tan joined NSC in 2022. She has five years of refugee resettlement experience with the International Rescue Committee in West Texas. Locally, Katie has three years of experience working to strengthen families in the foster care system. While her professional roles have varied, she has enjoyed the common threads running through each one: developing strong teams, coordinating programs, fostering welcome in communities, and advocating for those on the margins. Katie graduated with a Bachelor of Behavioral Science from Hardin-Simmons University majoring in Political Science, as well as a Master of Arts in Urban Studies from Eastern University with a focus on Community Development.
