In late December of 2014, a representative at Creed Productions LLC contacted our Project Management team. It wasn’t long before the team learned that Creed was in the midst of filming the latest Rocky sequel in Philadelphia – and that they needed our services! The representative at Creed requested a Spanish interpreter to facilitate communication between the production team at Creed and the owner of a neighborhood bodega located in the Port Richmond section of the city. Port Richmond is home to a vibrant, culturally diverse community – more specifically, 2014 U.S. Census data depicts a thriving Puerto Rican population. Creed ultimately selected NSC’s Language Access Program and we went on to deliver Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation services for a total of six appointments across Port Richmond and South Philly. Though we played a small, behind-the-scenes role, our team was thrilled to participate – even at the micro-level – in the production of a film that will likely go on to cement the legacy of Rocky. Creed hits movie theaters across the country today -- we invite you to watch the trailer here!
