New Members Elected to NSC's Board of Trustees

Nationalities Service Center is excited to announce the election of two new members to its Board of Trustees, Nan Feyler and Lisa Calvano. Both Nan and Lisa bring a wealth of experience from their professions to the Board, and we look forward to working with them.

Nan Feyler, J.D., MPH, is a Stoneleigh Foundation Fellow focusing on reducing the impact of substandard inadequate or unstable housing on families’ involvement in the child welfare system in the City of Philadelphia. From 2008 to 2015, she was Deputy Commissioner for Public Health Programs at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Prior to joining the City of Philadelphia, Nan spent over twenty years in the public interest sector as lawyer and nonprofit director, including service to NSC. Nan graduated from New York University School of Law where she was named a Root Tilden Scholar based on her academic record and history of public service. She received her Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health where she was a public health scholar and was the Phyllis W. Beck Professorship of Law Chair at Temple University Beasley School of Law from 2015 to 2016.

Lisa Calvano, Ph.D., is the Assistant Department Chair and Associate Professor of Management at West Chester University teaching classes in Business, HR and Ethics. She brings a great deal of management and Human Resources (HR) experience inside and outside the university setting. Lisa has had international professional experience in Haiti, Japan and the UK. She graduated from Drexel University with high honors and a B.S. in History/Politics, received a M.Sc. in Housing Policy at the London School of Economics, England, received a MBA from the Fox School of Business, Temple University and was also awarded a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Organization and Human Resources from Temple University as well.
