A Moment in Time: NSC at 95

In the 1950s and 1960s, the Starlight Ball was NSC's marquee fundraiser of the year. Each year, the event took a different "passport" theme that would take guests off to a night in Athens, Paris, or Acapulco, complete with dinner and dancing late into the evening. The Starlight Ball's Committee was comprised of the wives of some of Philadelphia's most well known men at that time, such as Walter Annenberg, Frank Binswanger, and Walter Pew. Through the event and the generosity of its participants, NSC was able to raise the funds needed to support its work with immigrants in Philadelphia.
