Yomaira Tarula-Aranda has 5 years' experience advocating and providing services to immigrants to thrive in our communities and pursue a just future. Immigration is a personal issue to Yomaira as a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. In her current work she becomes motivated every day to learn and strategize how to reduce harm and protect familial ties. Yomaira graduated from the University of Oregon in 2020 and holds a BA in Ethnic Studies and Spanish. During her undergraduate career Yomaira held various student organizer positions serving underrepresented students and was selected for an honorable award from the UO alumni association, “25 Ducks Who Will Change the World." On her free time, she loves to hike, create TikToks, or dance.
