Paloma Collazo-Vargas is an Employment Readiness and Placement Program Case Manager here at NSC as a fellow from Quaker Voluntary Service.
She recently graduated from Earlham College as a McNair scholar this past May in International Studies with a concentration in Latin America. Having been able to work outside the United States, she has learned that immigration, racism, and oppression is an international struggle. Paloma researched in Brazil on the advancements of Afro-Brazilians, the human rights violations at the border of Mexico and Guatemala from the '80s to today, and the Palestinian displacement in Jordan.
Paloma previously worked in South Philly for Juntos as the case manager and youth organizer, a Latinx-led immigration rights organization, that fights for the human rights of workers, parents, youth, and immigrants.
