After interning for Domestic Violence Program Coordinator Brenda Gorski during the summer of 2018, Michael joined the NSC team as a full-time legal assistant. Working alongside the legal staff at NSC, Michael has helped to prepare immigration applications for clients seeking asylum, victims of crime, and VAWA self-petitioners. He is dedicated to serving the immigrant and refugee communities in his hometown of Philadelphia, and is thrilled to be a part of the NSC community.
Before coming to NSC, Michael attended the University of Pennsylvania where he studied English and Cinema Studies. During his time at Penn, Michael worked with Scribe Video Center, a community-based film education organization that assists Philadelphians with the production of documentaries about their neighborhoods. He also assisted Scribe with the production of Street Movies, an ongoing series of community screenings that feature films from the home countries of various immigrant neighborhoods around the city.
