Julie Shaw joined NSC as a Job Developer in December 2021. She previously worked as a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News, where she covered crime and courts and also had a stint writing about immigrants and refugees for the Daily News. In her early career, Julie served two years as a Small Business Volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps in Honduras. She can speak Spanish and conversational Mandarin Chinese. Julie has a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She was born in Taiwan, lived in Libya with her family for a year, then moved to the U.S. when she was 2.
