Heidi serves as a program coordinator for the Anti-Human Trafficking team at NSC. She provides intensive case management services to survivors and coordinates community outreach, collaboration, and training. Raised by forced migrants, Heidi brings a passion for the wellbeing and empowerment of immigrants, as well as appreciation for knowledge production facilitated by directly-impacted individuals. She has experience in racial justice work as an intern at the State of Missouri’s Ferguson Commission, in psychotherapy as a graduate student therapist to refugees at Heartland Alliance’s International FACES, and in qualitative research as a researcher with the International Domestic Workers Federation and Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics in Singapore. Heidi completed her Bachelor’s degree in International and Area Studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration where she focused on trauma-informed care and ethical global practice.
