Emmy Kepner, a Health Jesuit Volunteer, serves as a Health Access Liaison at Nationalities Service Center in Philadelphia. She was born in Colombia but moved to California in 2006. Previously, she attended a two-week church retreat in El Salvador where she learned about the history and connected with youth her age there. She worked closely with homeless youth and the church ministry. She also volunteer for City Impact at Christmas time handing out food and resources to lower income communities in the city of San Francisco. She recently graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
