Danielle Bossert leads the Resettlement team in welcoming five hundred refugees to Philadelphia annually. She and her team work closely with public and private partners to secure housing, resources, connections and core services for new arrivals. Prior to this, Danielle joined NSC as the Continuum of Care Project Coordinator in June 2015, expanding opportunities for refugees beyond the resettlement period including the recruitment of community partners to support integration activities increasing their self-sufficiency.
Prior to joining NSC, Danielle served as Project Manager for BuildaBridge International's Refugee Project which provided refugees therapeutic arts programming designed to facilitate hope, healing and resiliency. In this role, she worked with NSC, HIAS, LCFS and other local partners to establish the Philadelphia Refugee Mental Health Collaborative and strengthen the Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience. Previously, Danielle was Program Director for Inter-Faith Housing Alliance where she coordinated twenty congregations in providing shelter and supportive services for families experiencing homelessness. As a volunteer, she assisted non-profits and faith based organizations in South Africa, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Austria and Costa Rica in developing, coordinating and assessing youth programs. Danielle possesses an M.A. in International Development from Eastern University and a B.A. in Political Science - International Relations from West Chester University. She enjoys building bridges of mutual understanding, respect and integration between Philadelphia and its newly arriving populations towards the development of informed and engaged communities.
