Colin MacFarlane

Family Strengthening Program Case Manager

Colin was raised in Collingswood, New Jersey and has always had strong ties to the Philadelphia area. He is first generation American by way of his father who immigrated to the United States from Scotland at the age of 21. Prior to joining NSC, Colin studied and completed a B.A. in Music Education at Monmouth University. Subsequently he worked for many years as a music teacher before returning to school for an M.A. in Bilingual Bicultural Studies at La Salle University. He has recently returned from a six month stint in Guayaquil, Ecuador where he worked as a teacher at an education center for underprivileged youth. He is hoping to use his unique skills and experiences to help the at large Philadelphia immigrant population. Outside of his work focus, Colin is an avid runner having competed in 6 marathons which includes two entries in the prestigious Boston Marathon.
