Philadelphia Partnership for Resilience
NSC is the leading provider of comprehensive supports to immigrant survivors of torture in the Greater Philadelphia region. The only Office of Refugee Resettlement funded Survivors of Torture services program in the region, NSC and partners provide survivors of torture and their families support to rebuild their lives and heal from the physical and psychological wounds from torture. Through the Philadelphia Partnership for Reslience (PPR), NSC provides case management, health access, legal services, art and psychotherapy, employment and housing support, and other healing opportunities for survivors. The program is operated in partnership with HIAS Pennsylvania.
Mental Health and Wellness
NSC also provides mental health and wellness supports to trauma survivors including victims of human trafficking and dometic violence, refugees and asylees and others. This support includes links to external clinical mental health providers as well as on-site healing activities including acupuncture, yoga, mindfulness and wellness workshops. NSC also offers support groups and mentoring to help newcomers adjust to life in the United States.
