On Saturday, November 17th 2018, Nationalities Service Center (NSC) hosted its 14th Annual Thanksgiving Celebration. Staff, volunteers, and Board members hosted and served dinner to over 200 guests, including current and former NSC clients. Our new arrivals during the past year have included refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, and Bhutan. For these clients, many of whom have fled extreme violence and oppression in their home countries, this event will be their first Thanksgiving since resettling in the United States. In addition to sharing a meal together, the day featured a program of disverse music, dancing, and a special guest performance from a juggler. Families were also able to get their family portaits taken through a photo booth sponored by WebLinc.
