Mental Health Interpreter Training 2023
This training will prepare professional interpreters for mental health therapy assignments and will cover the following topics:
- Ethics and confidentiality in person, by phone, by video
- Role of interpreter in therapy session and the therapeutic triad Clarification of interpreter protocol in therapy sessions
- Mental health terminology and concepts
- Critical incident protocols
- Therapy approaches (talk therapy, creative therapy, therapeutic tools)
- Self-awareness and professional boundaries
- Scenario practice and discussion
- Vicarious trauma and self-care
Investment
- Individual/ Small Organization (1-49 staff) : $100 per person
- Medium Organization (50-100 staff): $150 per person
- Large Organization (100+ staff): $200 per person
